Sculpterra Winery is proud to introduce our first ever sparkling wine! What a lovely wine it is - concentrated with bouquets of toasted hazelnut, even bread crust and a hint of classic stone fruits. The fruit comes from the coastal regions of Central California and consist of 100% French Colombard. The fruit is grown for sparkling wine production and the grapes are picked at precisely the right time with proper sugar and acid balance in the berries.

Our 2022 Pinot Grigio is a great wine on so many levels. For starters, it’s so light, refreshing, and easy to drink! It showcases tasty tropical and citrus flavors, fresh aromas of pear, peach, and ripe nectarines, rounded off with bright acidity and freshness. Its low alcohol content makes it appealing for a variety of food dishes. It’s the perfect wine with cheese appetizers, a Caesar salad, or shrimp scampi. This wine tastes its best when properly chilled. It’s hard to find a consistent Paso Robles Pinot Grigio, but this one is a winner for sure! This is a fun wine, perfect for summertime!

Sculpterra’s 2023 Sauvignon Blanc is an incredibly enjoyable tasting wine featuring clean, crisp tropical fruits with a rich and sleek mouthfeel and textured finish. This wine is perfectly balanced with both fresh and fruity flavors. For white wine, I’d say it’s light-medium-bodied and sports light thyme and cut-grass accents over plentiful cantaloupe with golden crisp apple flavors. Meyer and tangerine shine throughout the tasting experience. A snappy-tangy texture helps it pair widely with food. This delightful wine finds a good balance between tropical fruit richness and pungent citrus flair. The easy-going nature and fresh appeal make it easy to sip and enjoy all day long!

2024 marks my 17^th vintage producing Viognier for Sculpterra Winery! It’s still is my favorite white wine and 2024 will be remembered as a little crop, with limited bottling, affected by an early springtime frost. The 2024 season started out well, ample rains replenished our soil floor and we got off to a healthy start in January and February. We completed pruning, training and cane tying by March 1^st 2024 and were excited for budbreak to begin. Our hearts were broken on Saturday morning April 6^th when a FREEZE settled in to Paso Robles and burned back up to 75% of the newly formed buds. In one morning, we went from 5 tons per to less than 1 ton per acre in those same vineyards. Now we are even more thankful for the BIG 2023 vintage as we knew 2024 would be ¼ of normal production. This was the worst frost event seen in Paso Robles since 2011. The vines did recover and did produce a small crop. The good news is the resulting fruit was intense, small berry, and very flavorful. We harvested the vines at peak ripeness, bringing in the grapes at 25.5 BRIX from Robert Hall and 27.0 BRIX from Sukhy’s Vineyard. Also, in 2024 we planted 7.7 NEW acres of Viognier up on our hillside. This new high elevation vineyard should have natural frost protection as the cold air will settle in the valleys below. I’m excited to work with this new block and make even more Viognier in the coming vintages!

Chardonnay still reigns supreme in California as “The Queen” of whites. It’s a versatile wine, with dependable flavors and textures. Grown in the Paso Robles AVA, our Chardonnay is rich and aromatic, led by the classic taste of papaya and pineapple. Our 2022 vintage is a great example of an unoaked, all-stainless-steel Chardonnay. 2022 saw one of the lightest crops of the decade, we only produced 784 cases which will sell out fast! The flavors are dominated by ripe pear, crisp apple, and Meyer lemon. Everything works well on the palate opening and closing with beautiful fruit flavors held together by a warm nutty smack. Nothing pairs better with our Chardonnay than grilled vegetables and seasoned chicken or a meaty halibut dinner. This wine is best enjoyed through 2023 and 2024.

I love the enticing scent and fragrant nature of this wine! It’s an exquisite combination of dynamic fruits, mixed with sweet flavors, focused around flavors of orange peel, flower blossoms and golden raisins. Like the 2021 vintage, this wine would be great paired with spicy Thai food, or try it with dried berries, walnuts, almonds, or Frankel Ranch Pistachios. It finishes with a scrumptious tang of fresh acidity, which in turn helps balance its sweetness. We only bottled 336 cases so you better get your case right away! This is a wine that is ready for enjoyment right upon release, it is ageable and we developed wonderfully in the bottle with caramelized sweet nutty taste to follow.

Our Paso Pink Rosé is back and tasting better than ever! This amazing rosé blend of 4 grapes and 5 vineyards offers densely packed fruity aromas and hearty raspberry taste on the fresh, inviting nose that presents complex and layered. The palate is snappy and quick with red fruit, tropical qualities, root-beer spices, and even orange-rind flavors. A satisfying and versatile rosé wine that can be enjoyed by itself or accompanied with a variety of charcuterie-type foods. The wine is dominated by stone fruits that lead the way to blueberry preserves, with beautiful light fruity notes present on the mid-palate. The palate is light-medium bodied and fresh from beginning to end. The unique twist of adding 5% Viognier gives it something special on the finish that lingers with mouthwatering acidity.  This beautifully PINK hued Rosé is a joy to be enjoyed. Drink upon release through 2027.
