Our 2022 Paso Pink Rosé has a wonderful hue of light red in the glass. The fruit was hand-harvested at full ripeness, making this Rosé a full-bodied wine. It has a BIG rich finish and is packed with a ripe red-fruit taste. Featuring 50% Grenache, this rosé shows off grapefruit, passionfruit, and strawberry. Syrah gives the wine richness and depth, while Mourvèdre provides a savory element ending with a stone fruit taste. There’s a slight earthiness and dried herb flavor with a subtle taste of minerality. The acid is fresh and lively, a wine perfect with mozzarella or Swiss cheese. It is full in the mouth, with aromas of tangerine, cherry sorbet, and watermelon. The wine has an incredible finish, layered with fruitiness and long-lasting fresh acidity. Enjoy this wine straight from the bottling! We crafted this wine to be enjoyed right away, but it will age - reaching its peak taste in 2024.

This unique Pinot Noir from Sculpterra Winery is truthfully a Paso Robles treasure! Hard to grow and hard to find in the Paso Robles wine region; this Pinot Noir shows the distinguished quality and splendor of ripe tastes and rich textures. The fruit was ripened in a hot summer climate giving the wine a heightened fruity characteristic. All in all, this wine was vinified into a delicate masterpiece. It tastes great young and will age gracefully. The vineyard is very distinctive, producing consistent flavors of berry pie, herbal tea, and bittersweet chocolate. The color is a shade darker than a California coastal Pinot Noir and the wine finishes with nice dimension and well-rounded aftertaste. I predict it will reach its peak taste by 2026.

Our 2022 Grenache is a sensational wine and very enjoyable right from bottling. Plentiful aromas of black cherry, strawberry, beetroot, and violet flowers are easy to pick out as you swirl the glass. The palate breaks out with rose water and plum, a combination that gives it a fresh and vibrant experience. At 22% new oak, it’s nice to pick out the subtle taste of cedar, sandalwood, and coconut. The mouthfeel has depth with a slight tannic structure that gives it grip and weight on the finish. Medium-bodied, this wine can be appreciated by itself or with a myriad of light game meats. I personally love it with a garden fresh Caprese Salad with mixed nuts on the side. This wine will improve with age, but that may prove to be a difficult task as most will want to enjoy it right now… it tastes wonderful right now!

This is Syrah at its best! It’s easy-drinking, yet complex with layered dark fruits, a full mouthfeel and a lovely finish. Bouquets of roasted pork transfer into aromas of mulberry and peppercorns. Cranberry and charcuterie flavors convene with a touch of caramel, cocoa and natural earthy spice. It's texturally impressive on the palate, I love the mid-palate and the overall balanced weight this wine shows off. It’s both dense yet defined by fresh fruits and coupled with nice acidity. The finish is filled by plums and roasted coffee flavors. I’d decant this wine for an hour before enjoying, it will age gracefully, reaching it’s peak in 2027.

2021 Sculpterra Primitivo is a fantastic bottling, bringing together old-world charm, peppery bouquets, with new oak toast and a myriad of cola berry flavors. The new oak integration on this wine is lovely, showing off BBQ-smokey char as well as vanilla and chocolate accents. The wine is 100% Primitivo yet a blend of three unique Primitivo lots, adding to the complexity and overall depth of flavors. I love the finish of this wine! It lingers with marshmallow and graham cracker flavors, ending not too tannic or tart, just smooth and supple throughout the mid-palate and finish. This is an age-able wine, I think it will reach it’s peak of taste by 2027. We bottled it in a LUX-screw cap finish, so pop the cap and enjoy it now, it’s intended to be enjoyed right away!

 2019 Primitivo Reserve is a big bold wine with enormous structure on the palate. It’s hard to believe just 5% Petite Sirah is blended into this wine, the overall color is dark, rich and coasts the glass. Only the best barrels were chosen in the creation of this blend and it certainly shows! The wine is complex and well-spiced but also well balanced on the finish. The taste is not over ripe, it is restrained with accents and unique nuances that truly mark it as a reserve and special wine. The flavors begin with subtle oak nuances of vanilla, cinnamon, toast and peppered meats, then the wine reveals a core of ripe black fruits and a mouth filling texture. The tannins are seamless, I pick out elements of earth, cedar and pencil shavings accented by clove and vanilla. Flavors build throughout the mid palate and lend to a generous ending.

In the glass this opaque purple wine stains the glass with each swirl and has an amazing hue and thick appearance. The wine brings forth concentrated flavors with a vast texture and a lip-smacking finish. Zinfandel is not normally known for its ability to age, but this bottling is very age worthy, I think it will reach its peak in 2028. The wine’s expressive palate starts with mint and other oak-spice bouquets. Following the spice is an explosion of fragrant fresh and vibrant fruit flavors that deliver through to the finish. It is easy to taste chocolate covered strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. This wine can easily be enjoyed on its own, but also pairs amazing with braised short ribs. This wine is tannic, dry and full-bodied and mellows out with age.

Sculpterra’s 2020 Cabernet Franc is 100% Cabernet Franc, rich in texture and tannic to the core. These dense tannins are no obstacle to the wine's black fruits and spicy, almost jalapeño like, character. Rich and concentrated, this Cab Franc opens with a sweet-scented nose of rose and cherry. Layers of chocolate and cherries combine with mint, fresh basil, oregano, and pleasant herbaceous notes. At 15.3% alcohol, these grapes were picked at optimal ripeness while still maintaining proper acidity. Grown on the valley floor, “Lago De Los Patos” Vineyard, the vines are as picturesque as the wine’s clean aromas and bouquets. Enjoy this wine with spicy Italian sausages or even prosciutto and the finest asiago cheese. Cheers to an amazing Cabernet Franc, done right! 

What an amazing well-balanced and cellar worthy wine! The front, mid and back palate work impeccably well,. This wine is elegantly fashioned, with good structure, firm yet soft on the finish and this is certainly a great candidate for long term cellaring. This all estate wine has steadily gained good traction as Sculpterra’s premier bottle, and this latest release is one of its best Cabernet wines to date. It’s clear to see good balance between black-currant, dark cherry fruits and a refined structure, the wine has a great potential. The supremacy of Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend is clearly seen, but the additions of Merlot with Petit Verdot provide unique flavors and finish to the overall blend. My favorite part of this wine is its initial character of rich black-coffee flavors that evolve into pepper and cooking spices. At 22% new oak the finish shows off vanilla and roasted bouquets. 

This elite Cabernet Sauvignon showcases the best fruit from two Frankel Vineyard Cabernet blocks. The dark fruit flavors are concentrated and moderately to heavy tannins hold true to the finish. The aromas are dominated by black fruit, bittersweet chocolate, and olive tapenade flavors. Overall, a very classic example of this grape variety, this is what a reserve should taste like! It’s a mouth-filling wine with a nice gripping texture that matches the concentration of the deep black cherry, vanilla, grilled meats, and black pepper tang. Boasting fascinating aromas, with notes of coffee, plum, violets, cedar, and spice. The palate is big and full, yet at the same time soft and polished. It's instantly delicious upon release in late 2023, and it will age through 2027. 

The cream of the crop and the best Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine stands alone as the peak of Sculpterra’s winemaking. This wine features all oak flavors possible! Aging in 100% new oak gave notes of pine, cedar, sandalwood, coconut, clove, cinnamon, and vanilla. The fruit showcases red currant, blackberry, cherry, and plum. There are also hints of pleasant herbaceous flavors, with notes of green olive, eucalyptus mint, and dried nuts. The back palate has a lingering truffle, mushroom, and chocolate sensation. I love the mouthfeel of this wine. It combines a rich texture with a long and lingering finish. This wine will improve with proper cellar aging, reaching its peak tasting in the year 2028.

This full-bodied wine is rich with dark chocolate bouquets and blueberry, blackberry, and red currant aromas. The new American Oak aging adds a hefty blanket of tannins that covers the mid and back palette. It is very ripe and profound on the nose yet restrained and balanced in the mouth. It’s undoubtedly a full-bodied and tannic win, the heaviest wine we offer! My favorite notes on this wine are the aromatic lavender and violet fragrances. Then, the taste is overtaken by black cherries, blackberries, and a hint of black pepper and allspice. There's certainly no rush to drink this. It will age gracefully for the next ten years.

This fruit driven Primitivo Port displays aromas of ripe fig and caramel with chocolate undertones. A non-vintage blend, contacting 5 years of Primitivo Port. This Port Style wine has everything you look for in dessert wine. It’s packed with aromas of ripe fig, rich chocolate, raspberry truffle, and toasted jam. This wine’s bouquet displays caramel apple and nuts, with a tender sweet and balanced finish. The wine can be enjoyed now, but will further evolve over the next 8 to 15 years. Sold in a 500ml bottle.

Our 2022 Héroe Pinot Noir incorporates painted aromas of cherry, raspberry, and wild strawberry. Amusing bouquets of garden-fresh herbs, violet, oregano, pepper spices, wet stone, truffle, and mushroom come to life with each sip. The two clones are blended together to perfection; each one shining through, working wonders in the glass. The wine has a strong backbone of weighty acidity, giving it a refreshing and pleasant finish. It’s medium-bodied, round, balanced, and supple. The color is a gorgeous garnet-red in the glass with a moderate alcohol level. The wine was bottled with ten months of oak barrel aging, making it young, inviting, and ready to go upon release.

2021 Héroe Primitivo is steady, fresh, medium-bodied and mouth-watering with layers of fruit goodness. It’s the perfect partner for BBQ spare ribs or lamb shank with mint sauce. It shows an excellent concentration of fruits while its flinty accents bring density to this subtly tannic and dry red wine. The palate possesses bold ripe strawberry and raspberry flavors that stay on to the finish. At 26% new American Oak, it’s easy to pull out bouquets of cedar, clove, coconut, and black coffee. My favorite part about this wine is that it is approachable, soft, lovely and steady, well still providing intriguing taste of classic Primitivo dark red fruits and herbal qualities. Enjoy this wine right from the bottling line or let it age for the next 2-3 years for further bottle aging that is sure to develop increased flavors with soft and savory notes.

This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is from Frankel Vineyard’s “Puerta Electrica” block in the El Pomar district of Paso Robles. The aromas are plentiful in their charm, with notes of black-cherry, raisin, plum, currant, and herbal tea. The classic red fruit characteristics are balanced nicely with mineral earthy notes. Green olive and dill bouquets lead the way to a tannic and puckering finish. The wine feels polished in the mouth, while rich notes of dark coffee and smoked cedar, derived from the new barrels, fill the palate. It's a delightful Cabernet, ageable, yet tasting great right now. Best during the years of 2023-2028.
